The Westin W10 Braid has been developed for anglers looking for the ultimate line. The innovative construction produces a line that combines maximum strength and abrasion resistance with a super smooth surface. The rope is constructed from Japanese Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMPE) premium fibers and the use of a 13X (12+1) design with 12 fibers woven around a central core to produce a superb round rope with improved strength compared to 8 strand braided ropes. W10 Braid has an "Advanced Ultra High PIC" construction with 56 weaves per inch for a smoother surface and higher abrasion resistance. The denser weave through "Advanced Ultra High PIC" also provides a smooth surface for longer and more precise casts. The casting ability is further improved by a Dura-Coating gel whose process gives the braid line a smoother, hydrophobic surface, which reduces absorption of water and reduces friction. To achieve maximum color stability, W10 Braid is soaked in color tanks before being cured in an oven to 'bake in' the pigment before finally being sealed with a Dura-Coat for improved longevity.
